Barbara has shared writing projects with her father, Mosie Lister, with the churches and classrooms she has served, and with young artists, and has been a repeat finalist in the Write About Jesus songwriting competition, founded by Sue Smith.  She also has won regional titles for songs cut by regional artists in the United States and Canada..

Barbara has done quite a bit of writing for local worship in her Nashville area church, where her work has received enthusiastic reception, and her songs are among the congregation's favorite requests.

Barb's love for people and for the Lord Jesus Christ are at the center of her life.

Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 23:37-39 NI
